The Church (No actual religious affiliation, original name The Church of Propaganda was considered too long so we shortened it) is an AOTC raiding guild on Illidan that was founded back in 2007 on Darkspear. We progressed as a high end raiding guild from Burning Crusade through Warlords of Draenor, including many US top 100 kills and World top 500.

We transferred to Proudmoore during Battle for Azeroth and transferred to Illidan for Shadowlands to continue mythic progression with our “casualcore� two day, 6 hour (3 hours per night) raid schedule. Real life intervened during Dragonflight, so we no longer do mythic raids and stop at AOTC.

We take our limited raid schedule seriously, but don’t hesitate to crack jokes with each other and keep the mood light. If you’re looking for a guild to progress heroic raids with, without having to sign away all your free time outside of raiding, then we just might be what you’re looking for!

Applicants:

Players are expected to be open to suggestions and to constructive criticism. We look for players that know their classes, specs as well as raid mechanics.

Attendance:

We understand that things can come up and schedules can change. Notice of absence is required using the guild’s discord.

Raid Schedule:

Tuesday and Wednesday 6:30-9:30pm Pacific with a 10 minute break around 8:00pm.

About:
Join our Cross-faction family sanctuary. We seek guildies first, raiders second. Led by a married couple (40-50 years): one ADD & one Autistic. We aim to provide an inclusive safe space based on civility, kindness, mutual support, fun and friendship. Also LGBTQ+ friendly We consist of 104 unique players. Many of our members struggle with various issues of their own, so compassion and forgiveness if and when people are unable to handle things goes a long way and is extended to us all. We are an end-game social casual Raid and Mythic dungeon guild that enjoys group content immensely, formed out of returning players. Still young, since we were created on June 14, 2021. We started raiding as a guild in April 2022. So we are now 2+ years old

Our strong team of supportive officers who we are blessed with range in ages 30s to 60s. We are happy to teach us all to Fish rather than just provide the Fish- We aim to help those who want to improve play and have led many to achieve KSM and raid for the first time. Every wipe, we learn and improve.

If you are an entitled player who expect us to carry you though, you will not fit in. Our main rule is: Don’t be toxic because we will not tolerate you! We also aim to keep all chats PG 13 to not trigger our guildies and look out for the younger family of our members: we dislike the insults/swears seen in BGs.

We are the guild where real life comes first when it comes to everything Life can throw at us with kids, work, family and so on. If you are not empathetic to this, you will find it hard to fit in with us.

Many of us love legacy raids and achievements for old mounts, hunting toys, pets and everything in between including Island expeditions.

We also run Mythics + constantly and always happy to give all a chance to learn and group together.

Previously - Whisperwind/Dentarg - We are and AoTC guild that has gotten AoTC within the first month or two of the past 3 raid tiers of Dragonflight! We are currently recruiting for Dragonflight season 4 as well as TWW expansion as we get into Mythic raiding content. With the core of our team having members that have minor Mythic experience (3/9M season 3) to members having Cutting Edge completed! Some Minimum requirements (can be flexible depending on role):

AoTC experience - whether that is recent or not is fine with us as we keep it as an open conversation when selecting new Trials. Have not played recently? No worries, we can talk about what is different for that case by case.

<50% parses on MOST fights of AoTC tier - this number is subject to change and be flexible. Because parses do not always tell the whole story of a raid boss fight, we are very flexible with this number. The ideal goal for all players is to have a parse higher than this, we understand that parsing in its nature can be a bit toxic to use as a requirement - but it does give a good idea for what level of a player you are and if you would fit best on a Mythic raid progression mentality and ability.

Good attitude and personality - If you don’t like the people you raid with… why raid with them? That is the question every person should have when thinking of raid nights regularly. We want you to feel comfortable enough to be yourself, as well as we want to be ourselves as well! During the trial process there will be opportunity to show how well you mesh with others whether it be officers, other members or trials in the guild. So, let’s be ourselves as long as we are positive and constructive!
